Currently teaching and living in Bangkok but want to come to Korea sometime in May to teach Business English. Can anyone offer some good tips, advice for my job search.

| i'd contact a company called "Virtedco"...stands for 'virtual education consulting'...they outsouce business english teachers to companies in korea. I just accepted a job in their 'in-house' department...pm me in a month and i'll tell you what it's like |

They don't do it legally with their E2s and many of the staff are F2/F4s. |

Well, as long as they are doing it with F2s, F4s, and F5s ... np.
E2s, and they're breaking the law. |

they're also an adult hagwon with in-house classes-- which i'll be teaching.
i'm wondering, why exactly is it illegal to do this under an E2 visa and not under an f2? i know the difference between each...am I engaging in an illegal contract here teaching at an adult hagwon? |

Tyler, sorry, I have no idea about the Visa situation. I'm currently teaching in Bangkok and have never been to Korea. And, I'm a little overwhelmed with all the job postings, forums etc.
I've been made aware that teaching BE in Korea only makes up about 1% of the total market. Something I did not know.
Anyway, I Googled Virtedco but could not find a direct url to the company. If you have could you please send?

anybody have any other thoughts as to why teaching here would be a violation of my work visa??

Nope, if you are teaching at a licensed school then you are able to teach anyone with your E2 (at that location), however, as soon as you move off of that location you have to get permission from Immi.
Most Hogwons that teach adults and employ E2s try to get away with sending them out to offices... it is illegal without specific permission from Immigration.

| What about teaching in house for a big Korean Corp? I have an interview with for a job like this, but I wonder how the visa would work. Also, what's the going rate for something like that?? |

| Very few Korean companies can do this. Make sure that THEY are your visa sponsor and that THEIR address is the one on your ARC. |
