If Canada really is a free country, the attempt by the women to take their lives/livelihoods/bodies into their own hands will not be prevented by the national, provincial or municipal government. If it is prevented, or regulated to the point where the idea becomes unworkable, then it is yet another example of how unfree we are.
If it works, it is a model that can be exported. |

| Correct me if I'm wrong, but the knew that they risked being accused of discrimination if the kept prostitution illegal. They'd be accused of attacking a lifestyle since made the law made it illegal to sell a service that most people give away for free. So, they dropped the law against the prostitution and, using what they thought was a legal loophole, made it illegal to communicate for the purpose of prostitution, thus permitting the police to arrest prostitutes and their clients. |
