Why is that all westerners here, even gyopos, are blamed for sleeping around and treating korean women like absolute garbage? I recently had a discussion with a girl I fancied and she said she wasn't dating for awhile because of how she was treated by a Gyopo. She then went on to say that all westerners in Korea think about is sex and she didn't think she could date a westerner again. Apparently the guy was dating another woman at the time, so of course that was another of her reasons why Westerners always think about sex and/or treat Korean women like sexual objects.

I'm here to say that it's not just guys that do that. I was in a short, yet fairly intense relationship several months ago. Without trying to sound too immature, my ex and I fell for each really quickly and thought we had a made a great connection with each other. About a month in we both felt like we had loved each other. Things were going really well, then all of a sudden my ex stopped started avoided me. For one week, I was trying to get in touch through email, text and calling and heard nothing in return. The one night she answered her phone and admitted that she cheated, was confused because her mom was just diagnosed with a disease and she didn't love me anymore.

I found out about this over the phone, but had to get the info from her. She didn't openly admit this was happening.

I've heard of many other stories of Korean women sleeping around and treating westerners like crap. So why is it that the westerners are always to blame?

They're not. You're self absorbed. Do you really think that the only conversations about mixed relationships are in English, in your earshot and about you?

Oy vey.

Let's face it--most foreigners here don't have families with them, and we all went to university where the idea of casual sex is pretty common. To Koreans, that's just what we look like, and I think you'd be hard-pressed to find a foreigner here who isn't preoccupied with sex, unless they're some sort of religious freak.

Exactly, how many US based TV shows / movies display married monogamous couples between a man and woman. How exactly has the US media and hollywood upheld traditional values shared by the majority of the world's people?

People outside of the US just follow what they see and hear.

The US culture is the major missionary force in promoting a homosexual lifestyle. The US culture is the major missionary force in destroying traditional marriage and culture. The US culture is the major missionary force in destroying traditional authortarian roles.

It is not their fault that this is what the US propagates in cultural missionary values. It is no wonder the Arab world hates us. The Asians despise us. No one likes us.

I am surprised you are too dumb to understand this.

And Korean men on the other hand are not obsessed with Sex?
Do the terms 안마, 달란 주점, 룸 살론, 다방 etc. mean anything to you?

Sauna (with happy end), Singing Room (with privileges), Room Salon (with surgically enhanced privileges), Tea Shop (with temporally enhanced privileges).

What do they mean to you?

It's naive to assume that our notions of sex are totally compatible with Korean notions of it.

The nuclear family is dying everywhere in the world, and it would continue doing so without the "missionary forces" of the American media. It's the just the ways things are going. New types of families will be the "traditional" families of the future, and those who try to oppose that or stick to some religiously-based traditional values are only going to have insanity to deal with.

Peace

They mean western men are not the only one's preoccupied with sex, that's what it means.

If Korean women start crapping on that white guys love sex I am not going to deny it, I would merely ask them to name a race of men who don't.

Sounds like you're over-generalizing about people who over-generalize.

Not sure if you're addressing me or not. But if you feel that it is an over generalization to say that men are obsessed with sex, then welcome to planet Earth and I hope you enjoy your stay.

No, it was for the OP, i.e., why do Westerners ALWAYS get blamed? How could EVERYONE could be so unthinking as to tar us all with the same brush?
