There's a Mystic Tan in Apgujeong..Near the California Fitness....
Go perpendicular to the California Fitness down the Rodeo Drive road...It'll be on the 4th floor of a building on your left...You should see a sign that says Mystic Tan... |

Whether tanning places are healthy are not, I don't know. However I do know that some limited unprotected exposure to the sun is good for you.
Vitamin D deficiency can lead to several kinds of cancer. Some caution in your exposure to the sun is warranted but shielding yourself from it can lead to many problems such as cancer, depression, rickets etc.
The dairy industry would like you to believe that you can get enough vitamin D from drinking milk but that is a total lie. Unless you are consuming enormous quantities of it. Then you would have other weighty problems to deal with.
Most people need 10-15 minutes of direct (read unprotected) sunlight 3 times a week to satisfy their vitamin D requirements. Sitting in a building behind a glass window doesn"t count either.
I know the OP was asking about tanning places so my opinion is that these could be unhealthy. However being out in the "natural" sun certainly isn't. The scaremongers with a vested interest will tell you it is.
Here are a few articles on vitamin D defiency.

Can't anyone just answer honestly if they've found a good tanning salon in Seoul? This gets asked a lot and rarely answered. Instead, everyone wants to lecture. Tanning may cause cancer but only to the recipient. There's no second hand tanning and it's not contagious. So, it won't hurt you if someone else goes tanning.
Is there anyone who is happy with a tanning salon that he/she uses in Seoul? |

The ones that I've been to in Bucheon have had broken beds, they were unclean, etc etc. I couldn't freaking believe it. And the beds themselves were pretty oldschool looking...
Sadly, I've had to accept the fact that I will stay a nasty shade of white while I am in Korea. Tanning can wait for my return home *sigh* |

Don't worry. That will be a good thing, 'cause it's fashionable to be white here. They love white skin. The darker your skin, the lower in class you are thought to be. |

The Mystic Tan Salon....
I tried it a year ago or so...It was about 30,000ish for a spray on tan..It was okay, I guess....
Again, just find the Rodeo Drive street that is right across from the California fitness...You'll see a small tan sign advertising it on the 3rd/4th floor of a building, about 100 yards down. |

Wow. You go to a lot of effort. How much time do you have?

How much time do you have to post inane replies? I was merely relaying some information on the subject since the other side of the coin got brought up. |
