Can anyone recommend a place or person that can help me improve my Korean? Reading and writing is not a problem for me. I speak fairly well but I do not have an idea about Korean grammar. I do not wish to use a book becasue that just sucks.

Bit Wa Sogum (light and Salt) Church offers free lessons on Saturdays. They may ask you to join the sermon after, but you can always do what I did, thank them and tell them you have a "promise".

By the way: Dave's, pretty much is a useless forum when it comes to questions about Mokpo, since everyone on this site seems to big from the big city. However, if you aren't already on it, there's a big huge mailing list that most of the foreigners around here (sorry, here being Mokpo) are on. You can just e-mail your questions for the locals. You'll get much more informative responses.
