Question,

If my visa is cancelled and I get an exit order do I still need a LOR?
Also, I have a new passport so could I get around the LOR if I cant get one?

Basically this job has been a nightmare, 9mths in and every bad scene you can imagine last one was enough. The director said he was revisiting my contract because humm well I dont know but, he said he was going to cut my pay and he hasnt paid for my OT in months. Anyway enough is enough.

Second question, director has never paid health care, taxes, or pension so can this be used to get a LOR from immigrations? I do know I can threaten him with the labor board with this but might not work he is SUPER prideful and would rather shut down his entire bossiness than ever cave to a foreigner.

You can suggest diplomatically that he can either give you a LOR

OR

You will file complaints with labor, tax, pension and medical to get one.

If you make the threat, be sure to make the phone calls. If he calls your bluff and you don't follow through then you are FiretrUCKED.

Talk to no one else at your workplace about your issues- smile.
None of your co-workers can be trusted. NONE of them.

Guard your documents. Make copies and get them to a safe place- not your apartment. Keep cash on YOU- empty the bank account and walk around with a fat wallet.

Stash clothes and other important things at another apartment- with a friend. Be prepared for some serious BS from the owner- they will try to change the locks once they fire you.

Do you have a friend who speaks Korean? If not, try to find someone ASAP. When you are ready- File with labor- ASAP, and, that same day, go to immigration and tell them you filed with labor and you want to make sure the hogwan owner doesn't claim that you fled the school. They do that kind of crap. The immigration part is VERY important.

The same day- go to pension, health insurance, and tax offices. Bring COPIES of your documents (especially the contract and pay stubs) with you. These crooked hogwans ESPECIALLY fear the tax office.

Report to work, with a witness, if possible. Chances are, the owner will fire you- GET IT IN WRITING. Refuse to leave until he puts it in writing.

I've been through this crap and you can win- but it's gonna be a battle. They know all of the tricks.
PM me if you have a question you don't want to post.

If you're visa gets cancelled you should be fine for getting another one, so long as your previous employer hasn't filed any complaints.

If your visa gets cancelled and you get an exit order, then you don't need a LOR. BUT--How can you get your visa cancelled without getting a LOR? You can't just go to immigration and say "I want to cancel my visa." You need to get fired or get the LOR from your boss to get your visa cancelled.

SO If he fires me and I get a exit order........I don't need a LOR? I am confused.

Now they are saying I have to wait 30days if I want the LOR.........but they will not give it to me until my last day. I so want to leave geesh and if i stay they are cuting my pay and forcing me to do a second job WITHOUT PAY becuase 1class didn't want to meet on fridays ............so they say it's fair.
