Hey all,
I was just talking to a recruiter today and I told her that I'd like to find a job where I could also work a part time job in addition to. She told me that it is illegal for me to work a part time job too because it is against the labor laws if I am on an E visa. What is the info about this? I thought I remembered darkness getting a part time job.
Thanks for the 411. |

Part time work is LEGAL if you do it with the blessing of the immigration office and your employer.
Your recruiter doesn't know what she is talking about. |

There are a TON of threads about this.
You can't work part time on an E2 visa unless you receive permission from your current employer and the working hours are less than your full-time job. I believe there is some additional paper work you need to file with immigration such as the names of your employers, your exact working hours, etc...I've never done this, but like I said, there are a lot of threads about this same topic. |
