I also am looking to buy a DVD writer.
I was just looking them up on the net, and I came across CNET and that site said a DVD program can be downloaded.
Has anyone had any experience with this?
thanks |
Huh? A DVD program can be downloaded? What do you mean? |
I downloaded my entire computer. Thank goodness for broadband; I don't think my 21" monitor would have made it through a 56k line. The internet is a series of tubes, you know. |

I've been using Sony 8X DVD-Rs and I've had very good luck with them, not a single coaster out of the bunch so far, and with cheaper brands I'd usually get 2-3 per 50 pack. A side benefit is that I've got Nero set to auto-detect speed and I've been burning at 16X with no problems. |

| Back to DVD Rewriters - I expect to buy one next weekend at Yongsan. Is there a big difference in price between an internal and external drive? I'm not an expert at modifying computers, so I'd prefer an external drive ideally. |

Internal DVD writers are extremely straightforward plug 'n' play devices. You unplug the information cable and power cable from the old one. Take it physically out, and put in the new one with the same cabling. Believe me. You can do it.
I know very little about external drives except they take up space on your desk. |
