Coming home last night on the subway, there was another foreign guy on the train (one car over), and I noticed him when I turned around to check the map on the other wall. You know how sometimes you just get a creepy feeling that you are being stared at? I mean we're foreigners, so we all get that to a certain extent here... but I mean NON-STOP creepy staring?

Out of the corner of my eye I noticed that he was flat out STARING at me.... like turned his body in my direction, ducking his head down to peer through the window, and staring. Quite frankly it made me a little uncomfortable. I'm all for a nice smile of acknowledgement, or a friendly nod, but bug-eyed staring and a sneer make me uncomfortable.

I had to transfer at Cheonggu to get home, and low and behold, the guy watched me get off, and then proceeded to "eye" me as I was walking. I found myself trying to dart through people, and I was a little freaked out. I finally lost him in the faceshop, but I noticed as he stoped in his tracks, and flat out started turning around and craning is neck to try and locate me. Creepy. I had to deliberately miss the first train at my transfer to dart him.

Does anyone else run into this?

As a disclaimer, I'm not trying to diss all foreign guys at all, as I happen to know lots of great ones here in Korea. I just was reading the post about the guy who had a really nice run-in with a "hot foreign chick" on the subway..... and I was wondering why that doesn't happen to me (not necessarily with a chick, since I'm a chick too... I was just referring to the pleasant experience rather than the scary one).

He was giving you his best 'smouldering look'. He's been practicing it for years (and wondering why it hasn't worked yet). Didn't you feel your heart go-a-flutter??
