so i am thinking about buying a $700 nikon camera and lense from Yongson. the price is $200 cheaper than most places you can find this camera. my question is this.....what about warranty? this salesman, in broken english, said i could register with nikon online after i bought my camera. anybody heard of this with other equipment purchased at Yongsan. any warranty stories whatsoever would be appereciated. thanks |

You can buy cameras two ways... Nikon Korea with a Korea warranty and warranty outside of the country, or an import with an international warranty that Nikon Korea will not honor.
Welcome to the beauty of price-fixing and gov't tariff controls.
Judging from the price, he's selling the one with the out-of-Korea warranty. |

Yeah, it's under the Daehyun building, I think (someone correct me if the name is wrong). It might be near Gate 1 of Nandemun Market. The entrance door below the Daehyun building and KB Bank, and used to have smiley-faces on it. There was Soong Rae Moon Arcade written on it in Roman script. You have to search back in those hallways, and you'll find the camera shops. |
