Is there any evidence that this yellow dust has a high heavy metal content?

As for getting it out, IIRC it is stored in your fatty tissues, so a hard core diet will get it out, but that means it is out into your bloodstream.....

From the wiki.....

wikipedia wrote:
Some treatments have been suggested to purge the body of excess heavy metals which accumulate due to air pollution, pesticides and water contamination, such as eating green algae. But the best advice to limit the negative effects of heavy metals on free radicals is to eat plenty of vegetables which contain fiber to wisk metals out of the digestive tract as well as molecules called phytonutrients which have an extra electron that is used to deactivate free radicals. Also, limit your exposure to metal pollutants by purchasing a water filter and refraining from smoking

Got to love the wiki....

An analysis of Asian Dust clouds conducted in China in 2001 showed them to contain high concentrations of silicon (24-32%), aluminum (5.9-7.4%), calcium(6.2-12%), and iron, although numerous other substances were also present. Concentrations of various constituent parts vary by location, as it is thought that heavier materials settle out of the clouds closer to the origin. An American study analyzing the composition of dust events over Colorado also points to the presence of carbon monoxide, possible incorporated in the clouds as they passed over industrialized regions of Asia.

I just checked here and the current level is about 200. Overnight it spiked up to 400 which is pretty bad.

Man I must be unusual.

Lots of my friends and co-workers are complianing about the yellow dust, but it had no effect on me at all.

Does this mean I'm very healthy or unhealthy?

Koreans believe sam-keop-sal is good for that. That's why a lotta miners eat that after work. I don't necessarily believe it, but why not give it a try? Yesterday I was ill just look'n at the haze of Chinese produced pollution and many co-workers including me have got the runny, stuffed nose, scratchy throat and red eyes. So yesterday I had a huge craving for samgeopsal and soju. That's why I can't think straight writing this post!

Wear a mask

Wash your hands and face more often than normal

drink lots of water

eat more fiber

Koreans eat samgyupsal but I doubt that's good. Samgyupsal is high in fat and you need to eat extra healthy to combat what the dust can do to your body.

i do more than 2 hours of intense exercise outdoors every day (i'm taking a break today - gonna try to find me a nice mask instead). i think this has something to do with it.

Yeah, thats too much, unless you're trying to train for a competitive event or something. You s.uck. An hour a day is easily enough and even then, I'd recommend a beer afterwards Cool every now and then.
