Do any of you have a favorite Korean brand makeup or personal care product? I've heard about the Face Shop, DHC, and Amore Pacific. I'm thinking about trying out the foundation from the face shop.

I take it from a posting a little while back that some of the men seem to like the make-up products. Whatever does it for you.

The face shop and missha are great for things like lipstick and eyeshadows- cheep and cheerful ( and ubiquitous!) International brands like the major department store ones, the body shop and l'oreal and maybelline are pretty common too, You shouldn't have trouble unless you've got a pink based skin tone, and thats only really for foundation and things anyway

Oh, of course, I love it. They have some really awesome products here. The FaceShop has good stuff, and they usually give samples. DHC has some good stuff, especially the olive oil products. Missha is good and I really love Skin Food. They give great samples and their products are made with natural ingredients, such as their pumpkin eye cream. I love anything pumpkin, edible and non-edible. When I go the more expensive route, I go for Anna Sui stuff at the dept. stores. Dior and Chanel have decent stuff, too. Shiseido is one of my all-time favs. But since it is made in Japan, it is waaaaaaaaay cheaper there. You should pick some up when you are on a future visa run in Japan. Toda Cosa in Gangnam has a great selection of cosmetics and fragrances. Upstairs, they have many hair care products and body products. Watsons in Shinchon, by Jamshil is awesome. They have all kinds of beauty and health products. They even have a sink upstairs where you can sample the face cleansers. I also love Banila Co.in Gangnam. They play great music, such as Jamiroquai, while you shop. tee-hee-hee^^* But, I am a snob when it comes to trying samples in the stores. EVERYONE, and I mean EVERYONE have had their hands in those lip gloss pots, eye shadow palettes, and mascara wands. A guy at Watsons offered me some mascara samples when he saw me browsing the mascara isle. No way! Can you say pink eye? I always see Korean girls using those samples. Ewww. Gross!

Not really..I find the foundations play havoc with my combination skin..that said .........the lipsticks are quite good.

Dont go cheap for foundation. Its what next to your skin and the skin is a permiable organ... you only want to use the best. Spend 5,000 won on lip gloss and 50,000 on foundation. I tried them all... and I am back to Bare Minerals. Chanel has some good ones out.

Dont put crap on your face... poop or bad foundation. Smile

As a cross-dressing man I find it difficult to find good quality products...but I'll heed your advice....incidentally does anyone know where I can get some crotchless pants and mini skirt?

Appreciate that love.......but I have to shave twice a day and you try going out with just lipstick and eyeshadow on with a face like a farmers arse.

I have to admit, I've stuck with M.A.C. all the way through. I recently bought some Black Sugar Scrub from Skin Food, and have been having skin problems the last week. Not sure if it's coincidence, but it's damned annoying.

Now that I feel more comfortable and you've excepted me as a cross-dressing man I have question for you girls. My ass looks like a good extra from Planet of the Apes (to say I am dasoprobic is an understatement). As a man/woman I like to wear a bikini but the sight of my George W. Bush poking out the side is ...nauseous to say the least. Would you recommend hot or cold wax for my gorillas chest pubic region? Also, I have about 450 strips...will that be enough?

I love that black sugar scrub, Kermo. Of course, maybe it's not right for your skin--you could use it as a general body exfoliant if it's too rough on your face. I also love the banana yogurt one.

I'm a MAC girl for life. I think some people would puke at the sight of my makeup collection... hahaha. I spend way too much money on the stuff but I *love* it! Also Dior and Chanel.
The only stuff that touches my skin in terms of foundation is bare minerals by bare escentuals. I never used to wear foundation but my skin has gone to crap out here and that's the only stuff that has managed to help it! I love that you don't have to pile it on. Buff, buff, buff with a MAC 182 brush (the be brushes are horrible) and you've got a gorgeous finish!
I am going to shut up now. I could talk about cosmetics forever...
