Its a female singing and it sounds like she's saying "마리~아~~....."
I hear it everywhere. Every single person has this song on their MP3 player, ringtone, and its in every other commercial I see on TV. I hear it blaring in the stereos in front of every store I see.
This is got to be the most overplayed song in the history of music. I wish I knew what the name of the artist and the song so I can curse it until I die. |

It's a semi-recent Blondie song, or a Debby Harry song. I can't remember which.
Makes me think I could turn any western song into a hit here if I changed the lyrics to Korean... |

There were like 7 other threads on this song a while back.
I thought it had died down, but now it's back!
For the last time: IT'S A D@MN BLONDIE SONG FROM 1999 THAT HAS BEEN COVERED BY A KOREAN GROUP AND THEN BECAME THE THEME SONG OF THE MOVIE "200 POUND BEAUTY"!
Of course, Korea is doing what it always does with anything popular- oversaturate until we're sick of it. |

It's probably 김아중...I am sick of this song! It's been done to death by many singers. Enough already. The worst part is it gets stuck in my head when someone brings it up or when I hear it. |

| Yes, the Maria song. Oh, the kids are singing it right and left. It's a good song. I thought it was Korean. Blonde? Doesn't Korea import all thier ideas they employ? |

Ah that Blondie song. Was mum's favourite band where she played Parallel Lines constantly.
Debbie Harry had a solo run too, remember deaf dumb and blonde? She was 40 years old in those videos and still fairly hot.

One, however, can never be sick of the lovely and alluring Ms. Kim Ah-Jung. |

i've been re-writing the song with my students lately, using the english lyrics.
"she moves like she don't care... smooth as silk, ____ as air(?)"
but with other actions
"she does all of my dishes, she makes me soup, makes my bed...
ooh... she is my ajuma-ahhhh
MARIAAAAAA AVE MARIA
MARIA IS MY AJUMA-AHHH"
the kids love it. i'm trying to make them as sick of the song as they are. |

| Isn't all this fat-suit comedy just modern day blackface? One thing is for sure, it isn't f*cking funny. I went back and watched the nutty professor, and I just winced the whole way through it. |
