Okay, let me clarify.
I know that on the original Xbox it is possible to play copied games Live with the mod chip enabled.
However, you run the risk of having a diagnostic check run, getting your box banned and losing your Live account. But you can still disable the chip, and play live games online with original, legit games.
My question is, with the 360firmware hack, can you play original, legit games Live even if you have hacked/copied games stored on your 360 HDD and not run the risk of having your account deleted? |

You can't store or play copied games on the HDD. You can play copied games burned to DVD9 or legit games on Live. MS is not banning firmware modded consoles now, but they could do so in the future. |

My bad, I forgot to write in 360. So, my answer is the same but it should have said xbox360. |
