The Chosun Ilbo was kind enough to run an editorial today about the lack of focus on family values in Korean politics. It mentions Tony Blair, Nancy Pelosi and others and asks why the same kind of front and centre display of the family and family values is missing in Korea.

It then makes this comment:
Quote:
In the upcoming presidential election, Korean voters have the right to know what kind of people the candidates are. A man's character is best shown in his family life.

Gotta love those conservatives.

Come on, Jinju, it isn't hard to see.

Park Geun-hye, is a WOMAN....

As of last week she was running for president, though maybe I missed something in the last 10 days.

korean men should be fitted with radio transmitters that register every time they enter a whorehouse.

Candidate with a clean record wins election.

Just some interesting information.

Park Geun Hye was quite the rebelious child in her teens and early 20's. She partied, hung around with questionable guys, drank and did a few drugs. Of course the authorities kept this all hush hush at the time and the papers were too afraid to embarass the Father/Devil of Modern Korea. But, the public at that time knew about her ways. Not the typical way a Korean lady in the 1970's should act.

Personally, as long as Korea is divided, Korea needs the GNP, or some other right of center government that actually stands up and criticizes the North. But, I hope she is not the GNP candidate. However, she would be much better than any of the Roh Mu-Hyun lovers out there.

Roh migh have been a pretty cool president under different circumstances. But, with a divided Korea he has acted weak and is an absolute push-over to the Northerners.
