| I visited the doctor the other day. Found out I have a small health problem. He put me on some meds for 5 months. The first thing he said was: " no alcohol." Man. This sucks! |

| I did a similar stint in purgatory. It really wasn't so bad, not bad at all. I prefer drinking, and I drink a lot, but being sober had it's own charms. Of course, I did it because I nearly died, so it was accompanied by a lot of time of from work and stuff, so that made it easier to deal with. Good luck with it. If you're like me and you drink a bunch, you'll find some new ways to deal with your time. Well, anyways, I'm off to go drink. |

He's joking. Pulling your chain. They all say that. He's just trying to see if you'll actually do it. Just like they always say you should stop smoking when you complain of chest pains ....................Doctors! What do they know!! |

| Listen to your doctor. I was once put on antibiotics the week of New Year's Eve. He told me not to drink while taking the medicine. I thought, "Hell, it's New Years! I'll have just a couple of drinks! What could it hurt?" I was sooooo sick that night. It was not pretty. |

Wasn't Hitler on medication for the last couple of years of his life? I'm only asking you because you have a Hitler avatar, so I thought you might know. |

one of the heps.
stay off the booze.
for the sake of 5 months you could easily kill yourself or do massive long term damage if you don't.
you can make up for it later. |

A lot of meds in a pill form are hard on the liver, so you could do some damage by drinking on top of the meds. Don't worry about having a beer with a meal but don't get drunk.
I watched my uncle die from liver failure (alcoholic) and it is not pretty. |

Unless he gave you anti-anxiety meds or painkillers.
Those are best taken with a few drinks.
Hell, if you drink a lot and don't want to blow money. Just pop a xanax and two beers. You may black out but if you don't remember it... it never happened. |
