I just came back from the Itaewon Asia Mart (near that bookstore), and not only do they sell boneless lamb and slices of chocolate cake, but they have Australia's Coon Cheese there now, too.

First tried the stuff in Bangkok and loved the creamy texture of it.

13 000won got me this:

Hands down the best Asia mart in Korea. If you haven't been, go check out their Thai and Indo instant curries. Cheap and good.

When I first saw the topic I really wasnt sure of what to make of this thread, because back in the States coon is an extremley racist epithet for an African-American.

I find it slightly humourous that there is cheese by the same moniker.

It's also short for "raccoon" and isn't necessarily racist. I thought they were serving up raccoon, seriously.

shaved african americans is even more disturbing. the opportunity for ingrown hairs is off-putting. perhaps even a medical emergency.

Man, I was hoping for a story about how a raccoon was running around and terrorizing the Asia Mart and its customers. They are mean as hell. This is a disappointing thread....

That's over $50 Australian per kilo.That's nuts.

Go further down to Fresh Market(5 mins or so from Itaewon intersection)

They had Bega Extra Sharp cheddar,5k for 250gm.
