EH! That's not hitler, it's Cartman. Leave my avatar out of this, or I'll kick you in the nuts!

But, he is dressed as Hitler. That's pretty edgy.

LMAO. Man, I can't believe people can't stand to see a picture of Hitler. I know he was a jackass and all, but are we really that sensitive. If someone said to me, "Hitler was great," I would say, "Good for you," and think, "poor, delusional tool." No need to supress his views (to do so is ironically totalitarian in nature); most rational people in this day and age will see him for the fool he is.

Oh, no. I'm not really bothered. I was just curious on the Dave's stance on Hitler avatars, or any politically contentious avatars. Long live free speech.

I reckon it's helpful to put lots of piss-taking imagery of nazi's around. The actual neo-nazi's see those symbols in a religious way so mocking them can only be a good thing.

Also, the more repressed and underground something is, the more idiotic teens want to be part of it. Diluting nazi imagery counters that.

It could, however, make it seem harmless and approachable.

Maybe. But not sexy and mysterious.

I agree. Nazism deserves to have less piss.

Did you hear that these two symbols below were banned in Germany because they have a swastika?

Can you get rid of that pic in the Hitler Avatar thread. You can't post pics that contain banned words. Thanks.

You got my username wrong.

I started this thread because I was curious about what people felt about a humorous depiction of Hitler vs. a real Hitler avatar. The people have spoken--they're not bothered. Babs doesn't seem upset. RT has offered some good commentary. The mods have not stepped in or banished the avatar. The discussion has been civil.

Why dredge up a sock to try to derail the discussion?

Bygones.

So, it seems the question is...does a Cartman Hitler lessen the Fuhrer's piss, or make him funny and cute? Most here seem to say less piss; I'm still on the fence.

I really don't know what you are on about. "Ecumenical" is a fairly common term meaning embracing of those of all faiths. Thus, "Ecumenist" as that is how I feel. And bygones is a common expression, anyone who has seen Ally McBeal would know that. ("idealjetsam" is a synonym for "flotsam"? eh?)

But the whole Internet research and stalking thing is a bit creepy. I'll let the mods sort that out. And I am sorry to tell you, Herr Stocking, I won't be able to give you more time or attention on the matter. But I would love to discuss the matter of Hitler avatars with you. Smile

Enjoy!! Very Happy

Dude, it's not stalking (note the spelling), unless that's actually you in those posts and on that blog and IF the user who noticed the connections (that being me), didn't have to do any digging to find it (everything was in clear view for anyone to see). If you say it's not you then I'll take you at your word. My mistake, flot...er... Ecumenist!
