Has anyone heard the scoop on this chain comin' to Korea? Is it already here?

I've been shoppin' around but haven't come across anything that closely resembles their clothes. I don't live in Seoul, so that may be part of the reason.

Can anyone recommend some quality stores that sell their clothes at a decent price? Giordano is crazy expensive!

I have not been able to find these brands, so I went to ebay and bought a bunch of stuff. I figure with shipping costs and the cheap prices, I am getting a way better deal rather than spending money on clothes that have been marked up over 100%. I saw some Abercrombie, and Levis, and I think GAP clothes but they were so expensive. A basic Abercrombie t-shirt was 79,000 won, so screw that. I think ebay is your best bet.

Even if these stores do open up, they will be over priced and stocked with sizes that won't fit half the westerners I know here. Why bother?

there a banana republic/gap in yonsan in whatever that mall is called

basically the prices are way OTT - specially as the likes of Uniqlo are working this same aesthetic for very reasonable prices here

I believe Gap is coming. The name has been licensed by Shinsagae or something. However, don't count on it being like the Gap back at home, with clothes designed for western bodies. It will be Gap in name.

My wife works for GAP.

This partnership will be interesting.

Bland clothes to make you look like every other bland American. Blah.

No disrespect to Cpt. Corea's wife intended. I'm glad to be away from that fashion, but now I find myself surrounded by Koreans who all dress alike.

I like BR clothes. I'll have to check out the store at Ori.

Don't waste your time going there unless you want to spend about 80,000/shirt. They have a terrible selection and the racks are extremely sparse. You'd be better off ordering things online. I think BR is having a sale on dress/casual shirts now, so go to their website and check it out

Is it okay if I still wear that style of clothes? I find the blandness exactly my style.

No it isn't! We demand you get to Myeongdong and buy the girliest, pinkest, frilliest shirt you can find and wear it to the bar tonight.

I wear GAP, too. It is my style and the clothes fit me perfectly, I don't even have to try stuff on anymore when I go in.
