OK, which nation's interests, exactly, were these people looking out for? Which government were they acting on behalf of? Last time I checked "muslim" wasn't a country.

So it only counts if you represent a country? You know thats BS, to discount non-state actors is part of the reason the west is in the trouble we are in.

Why do I get the feeling that you think Hitler was justified in attacking Poland. eh, Hite?

Damn straight, Poland wasn't a country until Wilson made it one in 1919. Before that it was Prussian and it should have stayed that way. Hitler decided to recitfy that and, Poland being weak, took it.

Hope away, but whats your gut feeling?

I mean the Leftist Scum Brigade (LSB) on Daves has come out in defense of Chavez, Castro, Hamas, Ahmallibabba ... is it much of a stretch to believe that they would also admire Hitler?

Maybe I just don't like Poland. Never did anything good, so why shouldn't they be a part of greater Germany.

Its funny its ok to attack Muslims, Iranians, Gays, Iraqis, Leftists, etc etc buty the Polish get a pass, please. The only reason they even exist is by the grace and whim of the great powers, even Israel is able to defend itself.

Now I have seen it all.

You back the Nazi-Soviet Pact's carving up Poland -- probably the most cynical political act the world may ever see -- because it enables you to sneer at an American president.

Actually I heard Jinju was Polish so I was just being a dink. I don't agrre with the carving up of Poland just as don't agree with the illgeal invasion of Iraq. See thats consistency. If its wrong for one its wrong for all. I quite like Poland (except the Catholic thing, so 13th century) and have many polish friends and family members.

back a bit wannago wrote something about a popularity contest and class president, and how foreign affairs and US policy is neither of those things. He's right, but there's another factor to this that should be considered. 9/11 was a result of being "unpopular", or put another way, a consequence (rational or not) to US policy. More 9/11 can happen if the policy continues in its present direction, and if the hypothetical proposed in the OP occurred it could have dramatic ramifications. Also to consider is that in this little venture the United States government has racked up quite the foreign debt, as well as domestic. All it takes is a few pissed off creditors, foreign or domestic, to start calling in that debt.

I think your popularity comment is actually really important, because you're right, it isn't a popularity contest, it's a matter of consequences. To better understand see Newton's 3rd law of motion.

It is. It shows just how sick some people are from hatred. To attack Bush Hite actually went so far as to praise Hitler and Stalin. Another resident nutjob, IGTG actually said that Bush is as big a war criminal as Hitler. These people are sick.
