Anyone from Suwon have a report on the blossoms there? I was thinking of making the trip there this weekend.

Oh yes, I went on a school field trip yesterday to Jinhae. We took the kids for a spin in the buses through Jinhae. Was a good time, could had been a bit sunnier, but it did not rain like it was forecasted to yesterday. Tomarrow rain is forecasted for sure, another generally unpleasant weekend, albeit the temperature is beginning to improve, little by little with each passing week. The light pink blossoms are in full bloom right now. Very beautiful. Hmm. I wonder how picturesque Korea is on a sunny weekend day outside the hagwon? Haven't seen that yet.

Kyunghee University in Seoul has a main entry road lined with cherry trees. Very beautiful when they are in blossom. I've heard it argued that it is the most beautiful campus in Korea.

They are just starting now. We have a path on camus that is shaded on both sides by cherry blossoms. When they bloom...it's nice.

Wow! We sure had one big Cherry Blossom festival in Changwon tonight. A big big big parade of everything Changwon went through the center of the city, the most awesome parade I ever seen. There were lots of people, shiny new machines, military, lots of music, traditional performers, lots of indescribable things, and finally a giant robot! Totally epic!

A huge rock concert in the city center with giant video screens and more fire works going off constantly than you ever see on any 4th of July in the US. Phenomenal.

And the cherry blossom trees around the lake is just like nothing I have ever seen in my life. Very surreal.

They had a hi tech device in the middle of the lake that sprayed water in a large fan shape and shone lasers into it and then projected video to make the fan plume of water a video screen with stereo speakers. Dunno why they didn't turn on all those lotus lanterns they wired up, but the water screen shows were spectacular. Neato!

Korea is ambitiously dreaming big. At least industrious Changwon is. I am impressed. Seems to be very high class values held with great pride and esteem here. I like that very much.

I only wish I had a nice video cam along with me...

It's kind of an overcast day today, but the blossoms are really starting to bloom around campus, brightening up the place. Here are a few pics:
