Any thing with Chuck Norris - namely, "Delta Force 1, 2,3,4...."... Liked that crap as a kid, couldn't bear it now...

I like Clint Eastwood, but "Heartbreak Ridge" was painful...

"Time Bandits"...

Re. Koreans movies, which I generally like for the most part, "Peppermint Candy" was awful...

Speaking of bad movies, I was very much surprised the other day as I flipped to AFN and "Ebert and Roeper" was on. "The Host," got two thumbs up. Must be the subtitle made them feel all artsy.

Oh, and certain posters have still not explained what the terrible message is that Forrest Gump delivers. I'm quite curious.

I thought Miami Vice sucked. Boring as hell and with some of the worst dialogue and 'action' scenes I've seen from a big budget Hollywood movie.

'Ships move, that's why they're called ships.'. Are such lines really meant to convince me these two pretty men really are smart smooth talking harda$$ cops?

And that spliced up shooting scene? Cut to a scene, facing the cops shooting at the baddies. Okay. Then, cut to the view of the baddies shooting back. Repeat over and over again.

At the end of the movie, Colin Farrell storms away into his hotel like a moody teenager. My heart isn't breaking for you, Colin. I'm just glad its all over.

Aargh...

Confused

Never seen Miami Vice but it sounds as dreadful as Bad Boys 2. I wanted to destroy the DVD after watching that terrible movie.

Bad acting, lousy script and it was just too damn long!

That was an embarrassment for Brad Pitt. I guess they were just thinking about $$$$$$ because they casted the two sexiest movie stars in Hollywood.

By the way, this film was one of the awful offereings on my North Worst flight to Detroit this winter break.Totally unwatchable!!!! Mad

'Married to the Mob' with Michelle Pfeiffer back in 1988. I'd never seen a film before that that made me want to walk out of the cinema.

More recently, there was 'RV' with Robin Williams which I endured through 30 minutes then couldn't stand to watch any more of.

DUNE DID NOT SUCK

Agreed. It's a unique film which did about as good a job as possible of transferring a massive, other-worldly and awesome book to celluoid.

Lots of debate about the extended "directed by Alan Smithee" version. Alan Smithee is the ficticious name put in the credits as director if the real director disowns the film. Lynch seemed to resent the prologue which gave background to the story in artwork form. Personally, I like the Alan Smithee version a little more than the standard version.

Lynch makes movies which polarise opinion. I thought that was well established in film critque circles.

Dune is fantastic, though it has been proven practically impossible to convey the magnificence of the novel on to the big screen. I didn't like the Alan Smithee version - lots of boring explanations which disrupt the flow. The few extra scenes, however, are much appreciated. We have to bear in mind that David Lynch had planned an epic of more than four hours, but it was edited to a little over two. I just wish someone would release the version that Lynch actually intended.

The subsequent TV mini-series, "Frank Herbert's Dune" and "Children of Dune" aren't bad - mainly because they're longer and so incorporate more of the books and make it easier for noobs to understand what's going on. However, what they gain in duration they lose in realism. It's given a more contemporary feel in terms of the language used and behaviour of the characters. People like Paul look a lot different in the movie than how I would expect. Appearances aren't everything, but in a film like Dune everything should fit into place. It was great to see "Children of Dune" finally on TV, as it was scrapped when the original "Dune" movie flopped.

Yeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh. I kinda liked it. It was a "cute" movie... Not a big fan or anything...

But, "Peppermint Candy", of all the Korean movies I've seen, was by far the worst... You liked it???

I thought it was an utter waste of 2 hours and 10,000 won... Painful... Slow, boring, drama overkill....
