I got some pill packets from the doc for eczema and they are different this time. In the packet are the standard white pills, but then there is a supply of pink granules, almost like sand but bigger. The taste of them is strawberry. I didn't look at the scrip before giving it to the pharmacist, but I'm really curious what this is. Any ideas? |

reminds me of Up in Smoke...
"i feel sick"
"here dude take this..."
"oh wait....no, don't take that..."
oh man.... you just took 300 hits of mescaline...
Q: you should never take pills that you don't clearly know about... most pharmacists speak english... if not, get a translator before popping |

hehe false dilemma..
anyway I don't think I'm a chemist, so knowing the name of what I'm taking isn't really going to help me. I just trust the doctor.. he went to school for medicine, whereas I did not.
The reason I'm curious now is because of the strawberry flavor. I'm wondering if it's just put in there to offset the strong, bitter taste of the white pills.
Here's a photograph.
It's very strange.
Huffdaddy, thanks for the link. Nice site, but I couldn't find a shape that matches this one, and it gave like 480 responses when I just put in color. |

I've never seen that before. Still, if it tastes good, can it be bad |

Something similar to silica gel as used. I presume not toxic though. |

Relax man, pretty sure it's just a flavoring as you guessed. I actually used to work for a pharmacy in Tokyo (true story) and often saw the machine they would use to pack the medication with: they'd stick the bulk pills or powder or whatever into a slot and a conveyor belt thing would sort, pack and seal the right amounts of it into little plastic pouches like the ones in your picture. And in that case, since it's not even packaged in a factory (therefore no silica gel or whatever someone else thought it was), but right there in the clinic, they sometimes just sprinkle in a little candy sugar to taste, like for kids if the pills taste bad. I'm pretty sure it must be the same in Korea (never actually seen it done in Korea though)
BTW, just to be sure, the pink stuff does dissolve in your mouth though, right? |

It's the spoonful of sugar that helps the medicine go down.................. |

This is one of the things I love about forums. Somebody comes a long and says they know what it is. They've seen it before and not to worry it's ok.
How do we know he ain't just taking the piss and has no idea what it is? Wants to get you to eat it to see what happens?

I have been wondering what my pills are that I got for tonsilitis last week.
I tried the pill identification sites, but nothing works, probably due to all the pills here being made in Korea and not resembling pills outside of Korea despite that they most likely are copied American invention.
They have the imprints of "TRAMOL ER", "KOLON 625" "RX" "YH"
If any one knows what they are, thanks in advance. |

Like you care. Quit pretending.
By the way, I am right.
