Is it me or does anyone else prefer Korean women that don't speak English well? There is nothing that I hate more than the Korean women looking for free English practice or trying to get out of Korean society. I prefer girls whom I have to speak Korean to. |

That's one of the surprising perks of speaking Korean. That is no longer a concern, compared to when I first came here.
But now I sometimes worry about the reverse, that is, whether I sometimes become a language mooch. So now I've actually been volunteering my English services to my friends (proofreading, help to translate a resume into English, etc.). |

I think it depends. If the girl already speaks fantastic English, she probably isn't just mooching off you for free English lessons. Another thing is, where did they learn it? A lot of the girls that have studied abroad for a year or two are usually familiar with our ways, or culture and perhaps dating within it.
Of course, most of this is just crap because every girl is different. |

Maybe or she wants to keep up her English. Not to mention that by dating the ones that speak English you are more likely to find the girls who are trying to escape Korean society. |

Yes, maybe. I have no problems speak English with friends but I refuse to speak English with strangers who are Korean. Unless it is in some company and I cannot explain myself in Korean. |

Not to mention that if one speaks Korean he or she can date all members of the opposite sex instead of only 20 percent of the population or so. |

Yeah, agree...two of my best female korean friends have studied abroad and really don't give a sh-- about learning English, they just genuinely like to have a good time. But I've kind of found the thing where they don't know any english annoying and cute depending on the girl. |

This is a little pretentious. Why should the girl know English? This is Korea, maybe she should be annoyed that you did not know much Korean. |

Me.
And in the topic - it doesn't matter unless she insist on speaking English with me. |

I don't think it's very attractive when they speak English unless it's really terrible and Konglishy. A few times I've asked girls to stop speaking English, especially during more intimate times, for this reason. It's sexier to hear Korean. |

I always ask my gfs to speak their native language in bed. Too sexy !
Konglish/Chinglish and Japanglish are all a little annoying after a while.
I prefer english speakers. |
