So as you remember 3 weeks ago I was shocked and humiliated when my principal, vice principal and headteacher marched into my classroom and angrilly demanded I shave my beard.

Now I am into my final 30 days here, the beard is making a comeback. today it is a fierce-looking stubble. My coteachers looked on in amazement when I walked in. Mouths hanging open.

Principal hasn't seen it yet. There is trouble in the air. We'll see what happens later. Wink

I stand in moral support of you, good sir. As a man who is too lazy to shave regularly, I understand your pain. Stand strong, brother.

I'm breaching the middle ground between bearded and clean-shaven:

Sideburns.

So far I haven't bumped into Alpha male ajjosshi yet. But thats normal, I usually see him about twice a week on average. he's probably reading the paper in his ofice all day.

Some teachers looking at my 5 oclock shadow are wondering..did he just forget to shave, or is he growing a beard? Haha. The look of dismay forms "how can someone, ever, not do what the principal says? I must be seeing things".

I know you're not wimp enough to shave it off just because someone tells you to!

Hahah, great stuff.Passive-Aggressiveness at it's best!

How much longer do you have in your contract? Do you think he'll say something or let it go?

I have 29 days of my contract left.

If he wants to fire me, he has to give me 30 days notice.

Yes, he will definitely say something when he notices. But really, he has no right to order an employee to shave off a beard. This is not the army. And I'm not going to be a smart little boy for K-man.

I agree. He can ask, but ordering is going way too far. Plus, the way he handled things before, even if he asked I would tell him what to do Wink

Tell him you picked up a new religion, Islam. So all men must wear beard and start wrapping towel around your head too just to piss him off.

And tell him that Osama is your idol.

Shave it. Then take a magic marker and draw one on. But continue shaving. Tell them it's a beard tattoo.

Thanks for the support.

The beauty of it is that he cannot fire me now. 3 weeks ago he could have, and I would have lost all my bonus etc.

But not now. If he does, then he is acting illegally, and this is a public school-not a hogwon.

When they say 'You have a beard' as if you hadn't looked in the mirror that morning, stand up and 'That's nothing!' and take off your shirt exposing your man rug.
