Because the guy is probably a loser, and there is nothing people like more than finding someone they think is more a loser than them to make themselves feel better. Beyond that, it is judging someone based solely on looks (both girl and guy), who cares? How does it affect other people (assuming he isn't hurting her in some way, or she him, of course)? |

My best friend over in North Carolina was always talking about how in love he was with his girlfriend and how beautiful she was, but she was like a monster--looks and attitude. |

| I would see guys that I would rate at a 4 walking around with girls rating 9s back in Japan. I was asked once why these white guys always dated the ugly girls when they could do so much better from some of my Japanese friends. Their idea of a '9' was different from mine and most other Western guys. |

Money? I don�t see it. I think it is more to do with the fact that white guys are not as demanding, a chance to have a less rigid lifestyle, possibility of living in another country, something different. There are always people that are drawn to the unknown. In some cases they may actually like each other. |

In Korea, its just not that common to see fat ugly white guys with hot Korean chicks. Usually, you see fat ugly white guys sitting alone in a bar. If you see a Korean chick with a white guy, she's usually not that cute and/or he is attractive. OR I DO know of a couple Western guys here in Korea who are not English teachers who have very hot-but-poor Korean GF's. I have one friend - an army officer with a 3000$/month apartment -- who was dating a cutie for a couple of years. Then, she dumped him for an Australian guy who was the VP for the Audi company in Korea or something like that...
IN CHINA, however, yeah... the demand for white guys might ALSO have to do with the green card. Alot of Chinese chicks wanna get citizenship elsewhere and leave. |

A greencard is not that different from money, still an alterior motive. People are just drawn to the unknow? Why don't you see that many white chicks dating Korean guys? I agree with pest2 that in poorer countries the rate of hot Asian girls dating ugly fat white men is much higher than in Korea. In Thailand even guys date old ugly white guys.

Are you'll criticizing black guys for not being as judgemental as you seem to be? Often, you'll get posters bemoaning the shallowness of Korean women, or conversely the shallowness of western men who only want wafer-thin girls, etc. Now this: three posters who firmly attest that black guys are bottom feeders - and this thread hasn't even reached three pages yet! People pay lip service to liking people for something other than their looks, yet here are three gents who come online to criticize their own friends for apparently doing so. Oh, and estters, who apparently sees himself as some sort of hero to the lonely beautiful black women.
I love it! Black people are like Kevin Bacon, at least on the internet - posters can find ways to (negatively) link us to so many things.
