Yah that's the clearest picture yet I've seen of that, thanks.

However I mean is this incident alone what makes you decide to do that? Are there other major things like this? Perhaps increasing nuclear tensions and anti-western violence?

Koreans for the most part are racists, not really though towards caucasians who are simply viewed as others. They are much more racists towards other Asians.

Prime example-

Today in class a student had to answer the question:

What do you hope for-

Student answers- I hope that Japan suffers from an earthquake.

I can feel my blood begin to boil. I had in fact told them that racism was not acceptable in my class- less than one month before.

So, I explain to the student that you in fact know that my bf is Japanese and you have just hoped for his mother's death- yes a bit of a stretch I know, but it got my point across- by wishing for his mother's death, you are bringing sadness to me and hurt to so many people- Is this really what you wish for-

I quickly got an I'm sorry teacher comment-

to which I relpied hoping to hurt people is not something that I hope anyone would hope for.....

This and the attitudes towards the Chinese and SEA, and Africian are the real racism issues here- not letting Non-Asians into red-light districts or Koreans into casinos- this is just business bulllsheet- And if you don't like it try to change it, running away doesn't help anyone or anything.

What's that about Chinese people? What are the Koreans' attitudes to Chinese? I know about Japan but I wasn't aware of this...
