I remember it. It got a lot of play time. Maybe interesting at the time, but there's nothing great about it.

Yes, he even wore lipstick, eyeshadow and a dress. What's your point?

Why were you bashing Ricky then? HUH? Say what you will about Ricky, he never gayed it up as bad as Mick.

You started it. That's the only reason you came on this thread anyway. That's a double entendre.

You're right. There are only great ones. Very Happy

Actually what I never understood is how the Stones got to be so famous. I mean I can think of 3 decent Stones tunes: Sympathy for the Devil is alright, Satisfaction is borderline and Paint it Black is fine. I cant think of any other song. Maybe Start Me Up. This compared to bands like the Beatles who have great song after great song. The Stones? I think they pretty much only got so big by being the opposites of the Beatles, i.e. piggybacking on the Beatles fame. Thats my opinion anyway.

Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaatever.

Actually, I've heard something similar said on TV shows about the Stones. The Beatles were the good boys and the Stones were the bad boys. It was deliberate (Mick Jagger is a brilliant businessman).

I've even read that one of the Beatles once told Jagger that he was a genius because, with the Stones' image, they can get away with doing things that the press would never allow the Beatles to.

And the funny thing is the Beatles actually had the bad boy past...what was Jagger, some kind of fancy boy before the Stones took off? The way he gayed it up with Bowie suggests so.

Actually, from wikipedia:

- middle class family
- fancy grammar school
- economics major, got a degree in finance and accounting

so his image is a big fake. He was brilliant at sales I guess because the band got a lot of success mostly on image...certainly not musical content.
