DD squeeked out:

I'll leave with this quote about Chamberlain's policy, from Paul Kennedy, the kind of historian Gopher would be sure to despise......too well read, outside the reading list of so and so professor...

Is there no end to your inane posting? Do you revel in articulating nonsense or does it just come naturally?

I'll bet you can't even give a simple set of directions to your hagwon kids without digressing.

Mcgarette,

I wear different hats at different times. Here i have my own persona and let my fingers do their talking/walking. My hagwon kids love me - I don't say a thing to them.....

On the other hand,

Yes, you are very right to bring up the horrible colonial past of Britain. I would agree with that which you mentioned and MUCH more. I tried to infer as much in my previous post.

But I think the case can be made that these were administrative acts and not in the realm of British "diplomacy" between sovereign nations. I know the edges are blurry but when it comes of embassadorial conduct, the Brits have always had a reputation for negotiation and settling affairs over dinner and a cigar rather than bluster and blowemupmanship.......

The neo-con set is in fine form today. Yet another ironic post.
