I wear different hats at different times. Here i have my own persona and let my fingers do their talking/walking. My hagwon kids love me - I don't say a thing to them.....
On the other hand,
Yes, you are very right to bring up the horrible colonial past of Britain. I would agree with that which you mentioned and MUCH more. I tried to infer as much in my previous post.
But I think the case can be made that these were administrative acts and not in the realm of British "diplomacy" between sovereign nations. I know the edges are blurry but when it comes of embassadorial conduct, the Brits have always had a reputation for negotiation and settling affairs over dinner and a cigar rather than bluster and blowemupmanship.......
