hey guys,

I have to splice a bunch of clips together. But, I want to add transitions in between them. What freeware or shareware or other programs can I use to do these things. I want something as simple as possible. I already have a program that splices the videos together, but, I really need transitions between them. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Me.

I wanted to take the time and address everyone in the tech. forum. I wanted to say that out of all of the forums, this one is my most favorite for several reasons:

1 - everyone is friendly
2 - everyone wants to help another
3 - everyone provides constructive criticism in a way that is not offensive
4 - the tips given here are truly helpful.
5 - everyone here isn't an assssssshhooooollllleeeee like what you find on other boards (I could start naming 3 or 4 idiots that come to mind)
6 - all and all, people don't come on here and talk smack as their smack can be easily verified by everyone here.

Beaver, thank you for telling me about windows movie maker. It was so easy to use that I just threw together my presentation for my class (have to submit it to my professor today).

Really, from the bottom of my heart, to everyone, thanks and keep up the good work in helping people out. Remember, life has a tendency to pay back 10 fold.

Thanks.

hmmm....I just reviewed the final video and there are some spots where the voice comes after the speech (kinda like old chinese movies). Do you know how to fix this?

Ahh the joys of video editing. It can really be a mission.

Are you meaning you encoded to Mpeg 2 and made a dvd,..and that dvd has sync isssues? Or do you mean that watching the footage in the app has sync issues?

Which output type/ codec did you choose?

Try a different codec and see what happens.

hmmm...when I export it as .wmv, it is just fine. However, when i covert it to .avi, that is when it messes up.
