i dont really get the joke, i thought this rig was bad ass and the price was not that extreme, considering the viedo card is a GTX and the core 2 duo is like the newest procceser out right now ( i think)

some body fill me in on why this is funnie

The price IS dirt cheap for MY rig. The joke was...it was April fools. Everyone in the tech forum (i assume) comes on here and checks out the computers for sale (I know I do all the time). They all know I just built this beast of a machine in August of 2006. I am always upgrading things in it, so, it stays fairly state of the art. So, they know I won't sell it anytime soon. I figured by putting it up "for sale" here, it would get some giggles....it did. That is what is so funny. I imported all of my parts. The hell I am going to sell this monster. Very Happy The only thing better than my rig right now is a serverboard, 8800 GTX CPU, the higher end CPU's above E6600 and 800mhz ram (versus my 667). That really isn't much. So, you can say my junk is top-tier...for now.

Right now, my rig can be built for around 1,300,000 won or $1300 USD (this doesn't include shipping, or the OS, or the keyboard and mouse and monitor and speakers). This is for the following:

Case-60
CPU- 309
GPU-315
Power supply-100
motherboard-200
ram-169
HDD-60
ODD-35
loose stuff - 50
That's it.

And of course, I'm a little jealous, too. Twisted Evil Embarassed

I'm trying and trying to wait until the end of April (Intel price cuts) for my Core2 upgrade...but it's killing me!

hehe. No worries! Yeah, I am a butt when it comes to talking about my system, though, I know those days are coming to an end considering SuperHero is about to blow me out of the water.

Eh, regardless, Everyone on the techie forum here knows me and knows that I am not that obnoxious (at least I hope) in real life. I'm pretty laid back. Smile Very Happy

If you want to talk about raw power: 1 horsepower is equal to 746 watts. You'd need a few thousand of those fancy little cooling fans hooked up to your box to even come close to what I crank out. Wink
