|
|
Does anyone know of a shop in Busan or Seoul (going there this weekend) where I can get an Xbox 360 modded? I've heard of an area in Seoul where it's possible, but I'd like the name of a shop if possible. Anyone know?
Also what exactly will the chip do to my machine? I had my ps2 modded last year so the guy could sell me copied games. Is it the same deal with the xbox 360 and are there places to buy cheap games in Seoul?
Thanks |

You can get your 360 modded in yongsan.. they dont actually mod it with a chip but , they will change the firmware on the dvd drive to make it think it is playing retail games..
Dont pay no more than 360,000 for a modded xbox premium system. I paid 300 for the xbox premium package and then did the firmware change myself.
The game copies for the 360 range from 12 - 15,000 won per game..
I have over 40 in my collection now.
To burn you will need :
1. Dvd+r dual layer 8.5 gig discs. if the discs are not dual layer they will not work
2. Burning software like, clone cd.. there are other ones, but i find clone cd to work the best.
3. Make sure the game is already patched, if not u will have to patch it before u burn the game.
4. not all games u download will work.. pal games will not play. they have to be the correct region.. however i have found that any game that comes from the usa works fine on my 360 after i've burned them
It takes about 35 - 40 minutes to burn 1 game. make sure you do not burn a game over 2.4x . I burn at 2.0 and my games work fine
good luck!! |

The games that will work depend on where you bought your X-box 360. If you have brought it over from the states than NTSC-U games will work on it, but not the NTSC-J games that work on the consoles here. As mentioned regoion free games are fine and will work on any system, I've even downloaded PAL versions that are region free and it works fine on my NTSC-J system. |

Thank you for replying. I know this question has been asked a few times in the past, so I just did a search and read earlier posts.
I was wondering about a couple of things I read tho...
One guy wrote this in a previous post:

Really, the thing that makes the 360 great is the live features. Games are getting shorter and shorter because of the huge increases in dev costs, and now, about the only way to keep a game entertaining after the first weekend is to have live features on it. On game copies though, you wouldn't be likely to be able to use them on live. It's also possible that live could at some point detect the mod and ban your xbox from live forever. This happened to the original xbox. People eventually made a mod that could be swapped off and on so you could use the same console for roms and for live, but you still had to buy the games you wanted for live. |
This concerns me. If I get my xbox 360 modded, can I still play xbox live or will they detect my machine has been tampered with and ban me? Since there is no chip involved and you can't switch the modded feature on and off, I'm a bit worried about getting it done after all...
Has anyone here had this problem or know anyone who has?
Thanks |
