I saw a car driving backwards on a sidewalk. It was backing up and turning the corner. One problem, there was a man on a bicycle stopped waiting for a traffic light so he could cross the road. The problem was that he was standing about 6 feet back from the curb and in the way of the car driving backwards on the sidewalk. The car honked at him maybe to say "Get outta my way! I own the roads AND the sidewalks!" .
Did you see something funny earlier today? Please post it here.

We have a field trip today so I'm waiting to see how some of the kids are dressed (they're allowed to wear civies and do wacky stuff with their hair on field trip days). |

My coworker made me laugh yesterday. She advised me that Korea is the most diverse, culturally rich country in the world .... |

Shut up. I refuse to believe a Korean could go THAT far.
Although this happened a while ago, I've noticed Chinese people like to point out how their country has 52 minority groups. I just kind of looked at her cock-eyed. |

Yeah right... and I'm white so I guess I can't also be Jewish... right. Did you know that Africans all have black skin? Imagine the childlike confusion which must cause them to think they have different ethnic groups. Plus Persians look exactly like Arabs! Thank christ we have westerners to tell them what they really are. |

Uh, actually 55 minority ethnic groups. *^^* Your figure (i.e. 56) includes the biggest group, Han. |

I was more commenting on the irony of a Chinese national telling an American about how many minority groups inhabit her country, apparently in a bid to impress me.
When I asked her about government censorship in China, she said that Chinese people are stupid, and so they shouldn't have access to information like other countries have. Seriously though, that was her response. |

I once saw a Korean woman go into a McDonalds drive through the opposite way.

I can't help thinking about all the outrage and indignation that is stirred up whenever Koreans make fun of or complain about western people on a Korean site.
While the tone here is ostensibly quite smug and self-assured, there's a palpable insecurity underneath. |
