It doesn't take a conspiracy monger to connect the dots.
Iran has a bone to pick with the British. It's leaders (not Ahmadine-jihad-alamabd) don't want to air the dirty laundry of their vendetta in public by prosecuting the hostages. So they release the hostages, thereby showing themselves to be merciful Muslims at home and magnanimous leaders abroad.
And just as the hostages are touching down on British soil the faction of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard charged with supplying Shiite resistance in Basra gives the green light to use explosives that they know will be traced back to Iran because of their special design, thereby spilling blood and getting their way anyhow.

He added, however, "This is maybe the right moment to reflect on our relationship with Iran." |
[Don't 'reflect;' retaliate]
Look next for Nancy "Damascus" Pelosi to rush to Tehran to try to heal the rift or at least talk of doing so. Yada yada.
And mark my words: before this thing is all over not only will Iranian complicity in aiding and abetting the Shiite resistance to coalition occupation be confirmed----
but it will also be bourne out that some of the sailors held hostage caved under conditions of captivity that should not have made even Caspar the Ghost say "boo." It will be interesting to see if it was the Royal Marines (one of whom we already know was kept in solitary confinement to isolate him from the others) or, more likely, the less disciplined Royal Navy sailors who cracked under minimal pressure.
And then you have that pathetic statement by one of the returnees criticizing British policy attitudes toward the Iranians AFTER he is back on home soil. Disgraceful conduct that will probably get little more than a gruff rebuke in today's politically correct British military justice system. |
