Well, I've been on the Korean chain gang for 10 years now. Soon after I arrived, I was fingerprinted like a criminal. Apartments are very much like cell-blocks in minimum security prison. There are walls and fences everywhere you go. Most cars and Cell phones now have GPS devices so they know exactly where you are. (Like those ankle bracelets that they give to criminals.) So, does Korea feel like a prison to you?
Wow! 10 years!! I go up to my parole hearing tomorrow. Time to party!! |

That's to prevent radical moslem attacks like they have in the UK, if you haven't noticed. Nothing like trying take a swipe and turn this into another anti-USA thread, eh?
Congrats Harpeau. What did you do before you came to Korea? |

Thanks, we're playing Sat. the 7th at the Woodstock in Itaewon @ 10pm. Of course, don't forget about Chooongjooopaloooza on the 14th at Jazz & Sanjo. It's going to be the bomb!!

You came to Korea exactly one month before I did...
If a guy named superfly introduces himself to you Saturday night, be nice to him...he might just buy you a beer.
Congrats! |

Thanks for the warning, mate.
Looking forward to finally meeting you after all these years.
BTW, maybe we can make it a Dave's gathering. What do you all say? |

Congrats mate...
the late-90's was a cool time to be in Korea--- good money, the beer seemed genuine, and it was easier to find a good date (or 2) and there was none of that anti-foreigner crap on the news, well, not as much as I see these days..
Well, after everything is said and done on my end, lets see who stayed on the longest.... Me vs. You, and the loser will buy dinner either at the Hyatt in Seoul or at TGI Fridays in Times Square..... |
