This time around has been the longest it's ever taken for me to find a job that looks OK. I think it's at least partly due to having to go through recruiters more than ever. A few years ago there were a lot more jobs that were direct contact, where you could call the school, go meet the manager or whoever, and that was good. Now these recruiters have to withhold information to try to get you to go meet them before you even know the name of the school. Then you are apt show up at one of those dodgy chains most of want to avoid. I don't think recruiters are out to screw teachers over or anything, but to make their money they are mainly interested in getting you to show up and go to the school before you know much about it. Funny, I was recently in touch with two recruiters and a teacher and director (or owner or manager) all for the same job. When the second recruiter called me and told me the location I think she was surprised I guessed the name of the school. I wasn't interested in that one.

Anyone else find it's getting harder?

The gold is indeed getting scarcer here, but you can still locate it if you're the right nationality. In another year or so I reckon Canadians and Americans will absolutely dominate and the likes of English, kiwis or Australians will be pretty much phased out.
You may have to settle for a bit less than you first envisioned, and be more concentrated on saving what you actually make.

Its also seasonal. When I was looking for jobs back in May I was inundated with job offers (but maybe its because I'm the right demographic being young, white and american).

I don't know about that. It seems hagwons are always interested in hiring those who will work for less money. People not from North America seem to be more interested in doing that, if it means having a job or not.
