Went to Europe in the summer of 2000 and couldn't believe how many Korean tourists were there. Went up the Eiffel tour and all 20 of the other people crammed into the elevator were- you guessed it- Korean. It was wierd, but also kind of neat [hard to believe? They were all pretty well behaved and cheerful- also hard to believe?]. I mean, EVERYONE was a tourist, myself included. I think every single European who didn't work in a tourism related occupation had buggered off somewhere for their summer vacation...

edit: fixed the gibberish

I lived in Saipan for about 4 months. 1 thing to remember is that there aren't many white tourists (mostly Japanese) there and everywhere has local discounts. If you go, act like you're a high-school teacher living there just enjoying the territory for a day off or something - you'll get great discounts. You can ask anywhere if they have the discount too. The massage parlors are about $50 for Japanese, but I paid $20 twice - with a bit of "I'm a poor teacher at the high school up the street". Fancy restaurants all have local discounts too (Tony Roma's, Hard Rock Cafe, etc...).

A great beach to check out is called Obyen (pronounced kinda like Ob-zon). Almost every weekend we took a group of my students out there, went spear-fishing and camped out on the beach eating ramen and grilling up the fish we caught -SWEET times~!! It's down a really bad dirt road near the airport - hard to get to, but worth it.
