So I have been for about 8 months and now its getting warm out and i'm the outdoorsy kind of gal and I am trying to go camping before I leave... I have found this website:
http://english.foa.go.kr/foahome/user.tdf?a%3dcommon.HtmlApp%26amp;c%3d7001%26amp;page%3d/html/eng/recreation/search/search_010_010.html%26amp;mc%3dENG_RECREATION_SEARCH
But to no avail have I been able to book anything... I knwo you have to have a korean person help you and I tried that today... but she is alittle slow and I am probably not that good of an explainer ( is that a word? haha) she said that I am on stand by which means 99% chance of not getting it lol...thou I am not sure if she did it right...
my question is this:
is there an easier way to go camping in korea ( i pefer cabins or cottages as I left my tent in Canada)????
I would appreciate any help |

Buy a cheap tent from Costco, another store or order one on GMarket. Take a bus, find a beach. Camping is legal almost anywhere on the beach, but fires are not. You can also sleep in a sleeping back in or outside subway stations in the city. |

I couldn't find any tents at Dongdaemun. Instead, the nice guy at the tourist office there directed me to the area around Jongno-5-ga, exit 5/6. Lots of mountain climbing stores and a few have tents. Shop around. I found one place that had a tent for 330,000. Another had one for 190,000. Finally found a place that had a tent for 40,000. It's not the lightest, but it'll do the trick. Hopefully. |
