BTW, you're right, the horse in the house was BAD. Horrid though it is to see more than five minutes of Janice and Boobby per episode, at least there's no dream sequences lately.
But, if they have another horse house hallucination next week, I'll recant my latest defense, and start a 'the Shield' thread. Even without the F word, that show does good work.

I was very disappointed with the "opener" a monopoly game??? come on, I was bored halfway through the ep

lets hope it improves and fast

The Shield opener was everything The Sopranos should of been. Forest Whitaker going ape over Vic is a compelling storyline watching go from an honest cop to one as crooked as Vic

Somebody mentioned about going all "Tony Montana" style, well it could just happen as Bobby's present to Tony was a machine gun that Tony said he loved. I think they're setting up for Tony having a final shoot out in the series finale, just my guess.

I didn't think it was that bad. There was suspense.

I enjoyed the first episode. The fight between two old fat Italian guys was actually very funny, and the way Tony reacted to losing was funny as well. But I've always thought of the Sopranos as a very well done dark comedy.

No important characters will be killed off in The Sopranos. That would hinder any plot line for a possible movie down the road.

i fell asleep watching it.
that does not bode well.
it felt a bit disjointed, random scenes strung together.
but then i guess life is like that, hey?
it has to get better!

I stand corrected. Christopher is dead. He was the best character on the show.

I'm watching the Sopranos season one right now--been a while since I watched it. Holy &%#$;
1) Tony's put on a lot of weight.
2) AJ lost a lot of weight.
3) Christopher looked young.
4) Meadow got cute when she grew up.
5) Jesus, even Sil and Paulie look young in those days.
6) Tony's accent has changed a lot.
None of these things detract at all from the show, except for #6.
