It's been a while since I've bought these. How's the quality of generic cdrs these days? Is it worth forking out a little bit more to get brand name cdrs?

Thanks!

I reckon a lot of them come out of the same factories. Honestly, it wouldn't really make sense to have 25 factories in a given country making CDs.
Can't give you a definitive answer though sorry

I've only used Sony brand CD-Rs and DVD-Rs. Never had a problem with any of them. Heck, they don't cost more than an extra 1,000 per 50 of them, so I figure that's a 1,000 won well spent!

Don't know about CD-Rs, but the best DVD-Rs (that I've found) are HP and SONY.

A lot of the CD's come out of Malaysia.

I was offered unlabeled name brand cd's from Malaysia a few years back. Had to buy a million units though. 100,000 dollars worth.

You could have stamped 'well being' on them sold them in Korean and retired early

Taiyo Yuden are the only disks I will buy. There is no contest with quality. I have cheap-o CDs that can't even be read now...only a couple of years old, in a dark, cool CD storage case...

Nothing like not being able to look at your photos anymore. I could care less about most software not lasting a couple of years, but photos, music or video?! Man...

Yuden is top shelf.

I release music on cdr, have for years, and using Taiyos totally eliminated failures (switched to TY exclusively 4 years ago).

Not even all that spendy at yongsan.
