In YBM in jogno the director (mok gi man) is the worst director ever...! Lot's of teachers have complained....can't seem to get his mind around the strange idea of student interaction nor of Teacher talk time vs student talk time.

I went to YBM in December of '05 and it was by far the worst course I have ever taken, even compared to my college courses. The teacher barely allowed the students to speak and we spent most of the time filling out worksheets. I quit after 2 weeks because it wasn't worth my time travelling 2 hours round trip from Bundang. I sent an email to the teacher giving her suggestions for the class and explaining my frustrations, but she never responded.

I go to YBM and I love it. Tonnes of time to talk in class, and we do good activities. The teacher keeps her talking time to a minimum to let us talk and to interact with each other. Like everywhere, it depends upon the teacher.

Have you learned to write in paragraphs in English yet?

They are also good.

Most people find reading paragraphs easier.

You could also try searching the forums for other threads about learning Korean.

Hell there's a sticking in the FAQ titled Learning Korean to get you started.

Have a good day.

Hope you can improve your English writing skills too.

They might come in handy when you are teaching your students
.

Just think of it as a grammar nazi in training helping his mentor.

not drinking at all - http://www.eslcafe.com/forums/korea/viewtopic.php?t=49779&highlight=drinking

wearing a suit everday, by choice - http://www.eslcafe.com/forums/korea/viewtopic.php?t=71087&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight=suit&start=0

and of course, reading comic books intended for pre-pubescent boys.

It's not like we don't get a learning Korean thread every 17 hours on this board.

And, given the amount of time you spend on this board, I am certain you know just how often such threads show up.

never said wearing a suit is fun, I do it to be professional. Drinking is just silly. And I haven't read a comic books since 1995 but I don't see what that has to do with it.

speaking of too much time on your hands you seem to have spent some time doing background research on my likes and dislikes. My birthday is coming soon so I'll be expecting a gift.

If you spend enough time on here to notice, and be annoyed by, topics that come up regularly, the solution to that annoyance seems obvious ... that's all.

It seems like every time I check this board some Korean lifer is ripping on a newbie for asking a question that (5, 10 or however many years ago) they probably asked when they first arrived.
