My handphone isn't working properly. I explain the problem to the geography teacher. She calls someone from the phone company and I wrap it up and put it in my chalk box and give it to her. Two days later it arrives back on my desk via currier. The cost? Nothing.
In how many countries would that ever happen? |

They better have a good A/S network going given how overpriced most stuff is.
That kind of stuff I feel I've already paid for-much like drinks on a plane.
On the other hand, they will promptly get back in touch with you, something that's almost unheard of these days. It's usually a case of take a number, and keep calling us every few days. |

| Once I was in a Baskin Robbins, and the girl fished through the till to find me the crispest, newest 1000 won note in change. That's going above and beyond, I'd say. |

Once I was in Baskin Robbins and had spent a great deal of my own money buying each and every one of my students ice cream over a weeklong period.
All told there were about eighty of them at 2000won a pop plus myself. We were celebrating the completion of numerous courses and the dissolution of others...
The staff remained the exact same every day. They were polite, but waited until my final visit to mention that they had point cards. I then politely reminded them that I would be interested in a point card if they would do me the courtesy of including a few points for the money that I had spent in their direct presence in the preceding days. They declined with a laugh.
I won't be going back there again. It seems to be a fairly typical thing in many places of business, having mentioned it to a few friends and colleagues... |

| A/S is fast here because they don't need to send your malfunctioning electronics goods all the way to Korea to get fixed. |

That puts them on your shhit list. Mine, too. Go back and throw three scoops of it over the counter and peace out. |

And you didn't even have to run your friend's car into a revolving door. |

No doubt. Japanese service (especially Taxis and restaurants) leaves Koreans in the dust.
How does Japan keep their country so clean while Korea doesn't understand the concept of flushing toilet paper, despite the fact that Korean plumbing is now able to handle it? |
