I like old movies. OLD movies. Like say, pre-1960 back to the beginning. Preferably black and white. I found a copy of DW Griffith's 'Intolerance' a couple of weeks ago and loved it. Who woulda thought the old boy would put colored tints on the different stories?

Has anyone found a good source? I browse the DVD stalls and stumble across one from time to time, but is there a specific place that has a lot of them? If so, directions would be nice. (Please: No 'Technomart has a lot.') I'm looking for more specific information.

I've bought quite a lot online from Amazon & other foreign sources, plus I pick up at least a dozen or more every holiday abroad. In country, it's mostly just scrounging around the bins at Yongsan, really. I think that's your best bet. They have two (and possibly more) big dedicated DVD & CD shops in the main Electroland building, plus the guys with their displays all over the sidewalks. The genre (really, it's just B&W era stuff, isn't it?) that we're looking for is never in any great supply, always a hit-or-miss expedition. Oh yeah, Technomart has a lot. (heheh) Actually, I never looked for DVDs at Technomart.

As the other known fan of old movies, I was hoping you would see this thread and reply.

When I took my DVDs home in '05, my brother couldn't play them on his TV. Sooooooooooo...when you order from Amazon, do you have any problems playing them here? (If so, what do you do about it?)
