sighted and successfully caught one of these on my phone camera on Friday
night
apparently not uncommon amongst businessmen here - where it is known as a kind of managers bag
saturday spotted waygook carrying one, also noticed that the Diesel store in shinsegae are selling one
is this part of a global trend that i am oblivious to or is this appalling eighties throwback more popular here than i thought? |

Very practical. Think about all the crap we often carry. Cell phone, phrasebook, map, novel to read on the subway, iPod, pens, keys, possibly a small digital camera, coins, etc..
I hate having stuff in my pockets. In the states, we typically have cars and don't spend time on subways etc.. so it's logical. |

all those things you mentioned fit perfectly into a briefcase. once you take the plunge to carry around a manpurse, you might as well start wearing pink cardigans and getting your nails done. |

after that, you need to seriously style your hair and have no shame about holding hands and hugging men in public |

A briefcase is nice.. but a pain in the ass to carry everywhere.. A suppose a suitcase does the job too..
Backpacks are everywhere.. same idea. |

many briefcases are small, light, and compact - just as easy to carry around as a purse. or why not get a single-strapped messenger bag? i use one to carry my laptop and it's comfortable and less akward than carrying a huge backpack around.
i don't understand how any man has to resort to carrying a purse. |

Itaewonguy and I saw a gangster carring -- and obviously flaunting -- his expensive-looking man-bag. Certainly, it was full of cash. He was flanked by four other men in suits. |

I have a small North Face bag/purse like thing that I use. I put my camera, mp3 player, a book and sometimes my PSP in there and it's great. No reason to carry around a huge bag. |

True.
Nope. Koreans have nothing to say to me and I have nothing to say to them.
Nope. The magnetic rays coming from the overhead electrical wires tell me where to go.

Yeah, the subway. Real relaxing. Great place to read a book. For an axe murderer.
Headphones. Great way to get run over in Seoul.
My pen!
True.

These are crucial.

Headphones? Getting run over? Perhaps opening your eyes will help prevent such a calamity. And why are you walking in the street?
Digital Camera? Tourist? Perhaps I am just interested in the world around me.
Phrasebook? Nothing to say? What the heck are you doing here? Of course, you probably speak fluent Korean.
Ax murderer? What the heck are you talking about.
According to your post, I'm gay and you are a retard. |

Many manpurses or whatever they're called are very professional looking for guys. Messenger bag, Briefcase, Manpurse, or Backpack. They all do the same thing - carry crap you can't fit into pockets. Who cares what another person uses? Live and let live. |

Manbags are very practicle and better than carrying around a backpack.
I can't understand why some guys have problems with carrying one around. you carry around a backpack, what is the difference???
I think people that criticize them are projecting their own insecurities more than anything else by pushing their supposed manlihood. get over it. |
