1 G is not enough to make a long trip unless you're backpacking and sleeping under the stars, so I'd shack up at the Hyatt in Itawon (great view and eats) in a suite room and order room service and be good to myself.

I'd order some good wine/beer/scotch, food, cigars, caviar the whole nine-yards, and I'd live large like a proper decadent capitalist for a few nights. I'd ask my wife to join me, and if she's busy, I could get tempted for other company (hehe)--just kidding!

After the money ran out, I'd return home and be a right wanker again.

Okay, we either need a new thread with a more carefully constructed challenge, or we need some new rules enforced here (or existing rules better enforced).

Like:

Stop it with the damn "I'd put it towards paying off my student loans", that's no longer an option. Nor are investments of any kind, nor are donations to the needy, nor are pizzas for students. You have to spend that money solely on yourself, you cannot spend it, even partially, on your wife, husband, kids, pets, relatives or even total strangers. Whatever you buy, you're stuck with it and can never sell or trade it, you can only junk it.

Now, let's try this again.

Good call.

OK, I'd buy:
4 kilos of premium coffee,
5 18.9-liter bottles of water
8 boxes of breakfast cereal
12 jars of pasta sauce
8 bags of pasta
etc., etc.

I'd spend it on groceries and other necessaries to last until I leave the country during the summer.

I'd have to spent the money anyway or lose it. I have to consume groceries. So I look at it as killing two birds with one stone. Or seizing two rabbits with one hand. So then I could get by for the next few months without needing to spend any money at all.

But one million won isn't really enough to get very creative with. If there were a discussion about fifty million won, on the other hand, we could get a bit more creative (BTW, with fifty million won, I'd get my middle finger sewn back on).
