Yes, they are. I wonder what the Chinese ones look like?

China won't have the ability to build that kind of stuff for a very long time.

It can destroy the facilities of the nations that encourage or allow the terrorists to operate.

Like we did in Iraq? We all know how successful we've been in destroying their terrorist supporting facilities.

What about the terrorists in the US, Britain, and Spain? Are those satellites going to help us pick them out of the crowd?

If that's true that's a truly scary figure and says a lot about why Korea's *beep* up the way it is.

U.S. rates are in the 40% range....

(see the table about half way down).

Similar rates in Australia....

this thread is the prime example of how f'd up the current events forum is.

A post about porn has changed into a discussion on the war on terror, vietnam, iraw, baathists etc.

Mideast regimes are all police states , they have very effective security services.

They know who gets funded and they know what their elites do. In most mideast regimes the media is controlled by the government and most of clerics in the mideast are on the government payroll.

If the leaders are scared they will get rid of the terrorists. They will violate their rights of those who support the terrorists.

No the Patriot act is to deal with them.

At any rate that system would work great against Iran's nuclear program.

why?

the Patriot act seems to work fairly well.

and even with the Patriot act the US is one of the most free and tolerant nations in the world.

The US could also use a national id card.

You over estimate the effectiveness of police states. You also over estimate their willingness to cooperate with the US just because we can point a few weapons at them from outer space.

Sure, and since it's so effective, why don't we use it to end all crime in America.

OK - let's go back to the OP.

WHY, and I keep asking why, is it such a taboo that children watch porn?

OK, I would be revolted IF it were gay porn, lesbian porn, twisted porn, bondage or whatever. But if it was straight porn where a man and a woman had sex, why would it be so wrong?

I am not clear on the article the kind of porn these kids watched but my guess is just straight porn - or even just looking at naked women (assuming they are boys).

It's only normal to be interested in the human body, no?

I am pretty sure that half the reason why they are so curious is because it (sex) is so hidden in Korea, that people are so prudish that they don't talk about it at all and giggle like stupid little whatnots when it is talked about.

What if the kids in question are gay?

How many anti US states in the mideast have been overthrown ? You underestimate how effective they are .

And the US hasn't really tried a program of assassination in the middle east .

Besides as I said that weapon will be able to destroy Irans nuclear program once and for all. If Iran does any thing like the Khobar barricks ever again the US destroys Iran's nuclear program.Nothing Iran can do about it. Simple.

Also if the US used such weapon against Iran's military what would be the result?

If and when the US has such stuff. Iran is under control again. Game over.

Iran can have nuclear weapons but they can not be allowed to have any strategic benefit from nuclear weapons.

That is a huge plus.

the US has used the same laws to deal with organzied crime.

Organized crime is more under control that it was before RICO.

Is it effective? Up to now it has been , a national id card would be even better.

You think the Patriot act is a crime against humanity?

The US is under threat by Osamas terror hate group and you think the US ought to have its laws as business as usual ?

Even with the Patriot act the US is one of the most free and tolerant nations in the world.

No, but it is a betrayal of the founding fathers and all those who died trying to create a new "kind" of nation.

Plus, the Patriot Act is a win for bin Laden. Even that dolt Bush said (after 9/11) we should continue on in our lives.

besides during war time the US has done other far more exteme measures many of which I would not support.

The US has used the same laws as the Patriot act lays out against organzied crime. It is a called RICO. The US didn't become a police state.
