I was thinking about staying in Korea once I finish my 1 year contract. I am currently working in a very small (and boring!) city. By the time I look for another job I will have 1 years experience and also a TEFL certificate. Ideally I would be looking to earn more money (currently 2 million a month), with less working hours (I am at my school for 50 hours a week, although only teaching about 20 hours) and also some paid holidays/ vacations. Any suggestions?

I wouldn't go that far!! I was seriously thinking about Japan as I am sick of the small minded (native) people that I am surrounded by at the moment. I don't think they have ever seen a white person before! If I stay in Korea I really need to move to one of the main cities.

I'm not too sure, but I will probably go home for a month and come back, take advantage of the free flights!

You never know, you might go home for a month and just decide you want to stay.

Get a public school job.

You would be on at lvl 2 +100k for your TESOL cert.
22 classes per week, 40 hours in the school max.
2.0-2.2 mil per month + extra classes if you ask for them make up to 2.7.
Plus housing, + benefits (medical, pension, severance, 14-21 WORKING days holidays + an extra 2 weeks if you re-up + ticket home for your annual home vacation.
