I vaguely recall reading somewhere that if you go to Osaka or Fukuoka for a visa run you must be in their office by 11 a.m. to hand over paperwork and receive your E-2 the next morning.
can anyone confirm this?
a friend will be doing a visa run next week in either city and he needs to know if he should book a flight leaving Korea at like five or six a.m..
I have searched this site for an hour but can't find the info |

Not true. I was on a nine or 10 am flight, didn't get there until after lunch and I still got my visa right on time the next morning. |

You need to call the consulate yourself for accurate info. |

As long as you are there by lunch, they will process your visa and you will receive it the next morning. |

He can catch the 10am flight and be just fine. Arrival in Osaka at 11:30. 1pm at the consulate.
In by 2pm and pickup after lunch the following day (2:00pm pickups). Catch the 5pm flight home.
Reasonably current info is in the OSAKA visa run sticky in the travel forum.

15 pages and lots of other good info in there including directions, links, hotel info, etc. |

When was that? When I was in Osaka 10 months ago, they weren't going to return my passport until after lunch. The woman made a special trip up to retrieve my passport when the lunch break came. |

It was went I went to Fukuoka. I was out on the 3pm flight. I would definitely go to Fukuoka for a visa run. Have you seen the beach there? |
