I am considering teaching english in SK, and I have certainly never been there. Most of these questions seem to get followed up with "details please"...........so, about me:

I want to live in or near a major city(likely seoul or pusan I believe), but I'm a naturalist too. I will be making weekend trips to the great outdoors. I would also like to be in a place with a rock climbing gym. I would almost say that I require it. I have found one site that helps you find rock gyms in SK but every website is written in korean, and I have no experience with korean yet. If there are any climbers out there I would appreciate your incites. In addition to this, I am wondering if there is a synagogue in seoul, pusan, or any other place in SK. This is not a major determinant factor in my location choice, but it may be a secondary factor. I would love it if anyone could fill me in as to where you think would be a good place for me. Seoul's the best. There is mountain hiking accessible by the subway. Other mountains can easily be reached by bus.

Near one good mountain (Bukhansan), there is a rock and ice climbling gym. There's an English option on their site:
