| To be honest, I'm not quite sure, though I could ask him for you. I know he's wanted to pursue other things in his career as well (he's also the narrator on "Poco", a children's show on CBC, and has started his own dance company as well, which I think is high on his list). Who knows. I'll see if I can find out. |
Please tell us.

Naw, they are just in a mental hospital due to Ricky and Julian's bad treatment of them. |

i watched the show again and now i think maybe the problem is a high-def camera, but still, the car shots seemed too staged and phony....
however, i might be wrong about the green screen.
my wish is that the show would recapture some of the raw charm and outrageous dialogue of the early years. it was supposed to be a take-off of cops... episode 2 did have Ricky knocking the camera guy around... that's more of what i expect from TPB... a self-conscious awareness of the camera crew. |

I've watched the first two episodes of season 7 and I have to agree that the writing isn't as good as seasons 1-5.
It's still entertaining though. I think they need to give Ricky especially some more killer lines. And there seems to be less about the seediness of trailer park life (which makes me laugh) and more about crazy money-making scenes. |

Its not a rye and coke...it is Rum...traditional Maritimer drink...Im sure the Maritimers here will vouch with me on that one...as for the show, well how long can you go on about dope and petty crime...if they end it, they should show them hitting the jackpot!
J-Rock baby...J-Rock! |

| I think they deserve to have a season where their fame catches up with them, like fans of the show start turning up at the park and stalking them. The show does need to try something new. |

I've always been partial to the Crown n' Coke, or sometimes ginger ale instead of the Coke.
It is a good question, though--what has become of the show they're doing? I was expecting them to make kind of a Trailer Park Boys go to Hollywood movie when I first heard about it. Maybe that would suck, but it seemed pointless to revamp the series for one movie. |

i watched episode 7:3 the other night.
it was funnier than the first 2. and, a new twist putting the trailer residents back on top of the power struggle.
more antics of drinking and stupidity and the classic lines of jim lahey made the episode a keeper.
perhaps the TPB's are not finished yet. |

| Yeah, it was a good recovery. I was surprised to see those cops go so bad so fast. |

I'm a huge TPB fan and must say that I agree with some of what people have said here. Last season (6) did blow in my opinion and I was actually surprised to see it back after those episodes, only of which a couple I liked. Personally I thought Season 3 was the best, when they snuck into the Rush concert, that was utterly hilarious, especially the outtakes and extra scenes that I downloaded, hilarious! So far this season it's been ok, a bit better than last season. I don't understand how Barb took Leahy back as him and Randy have been a "couple" for awhile now so I don't get that, plus how Randy knocked up Lucy, give me a break!
I watched the movie awhile back and must say it was mediocre at best. It was simply a rehash of a bunch of ideas they had already tried in the previous seasons, I was expecting more frankly.
On a side note one of my friends met Leahy and Randy who were hired to appear at a trade fair a couple years back. There were in character the whole time and a security officer who didn't know them came over to tell Randy that he had to put a shirt on! Randy stayed in character and said "Frig off buddy, I don't wear shirts!" and Leahy backed him up. It was hilarious! |

Yeah, all the guys from the show stay in character at those sorts of events. I have a friend who went to school with the actors who play Ricky and Julian and he told me they pretty well act the same in real life (although without the get-rich-quick schemes obviously).
My favourite season is probably 4 because Lahey goes the most insane.
The movie was intended to be a beginner's introduction into the idea behind the show. It did that well but lacked the thing that makes the show great. My wife was saying the other day that the show needs to look more at their day-to-day lives rather than crazy schemes that belong on the Flintstones. |
